Agatha Christie’s Birthday
This week we are celebrating Agatha Christie’s birthday!
Today is Agatha Christie’s birthday (real name Mary Clarissa Agatha Miller). It is a special day for all mystery book readers. It was the day when the queen of mystery and suspense was born. September 15, 1890.
Many of us readers of mystery novels grew up with her books and we consider her tales classics, and with good reason. Even the Guinness Book of World Records has her name under the heading ‘the best selling novelist of all times’. Books like Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile,  And Then There Were None and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd are permanently etched in our hearts and minds as examples of well crafted mysteries that not many authors could recreate after her. Hercules Poirot is one of the most popular fiction detectives to date.
During her life Agatha Christie wrote around 80 mystery novels, 30 short story collections, along with 15 plays and a few romances written under  pen name.
In celebration of Agatha Christie’s birthday , we leave you with ten of her famouse quotes:
 1. The best sort of husband
"An archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have. The older she gets the more interested he is in her."
 2. There is a price
"But surely for everything you have to love you have to pay some price."
 3. Nothing disappears completely
"Everything that has existed, lingers in the Eternity."
4. Good advice
"Good advice is always certain to be ignored, but that's no reason not to give it."
5. Invention

 6. Acting ridiculous
"It is a curious thought, but it is only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them."
 7. Appearance
"Very few of us are what we seem."
 8. Life
“I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow; but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.”
 9. The impossible
“The impossible cannot have happened, therefore the impossible must be possible in spite of appearances.”
 10. The simplest explanation
“The simplest explanation is always the most likely.”
